In summer, we transform.

This quarter we celebrate fire — the element that supports change.

Nurture Yourself

When we take care of ourselves, we create the space to take care of our Mama.

As we transition this month from late summer to early fall, take a moment to pause and ground down with a 40-minute flow.

Nurture Our Mama

Our habits shape our world. At Clay, we focus on making small changes that are sustainable to maintain, knowing that our collective actions make a difference. Learn about this month’s action and how to turn it into a habit.

One Small Action:

Tune in internally.

Humans are so intrinsically brilliant. Our bodies store information. Our guts give us feelings. We know when something feels right, feels good, feels safe. Take time each day — even if just 10 minutes — to tune out the external noise and to tune into your inherent intelligence. This reconnecting to ourselves enables us to connect deeper to the world around us.

A few ways to tune in:

  • Walking meditation: Focus on each footstep and the feeling of movement throughout your body.

  • Journal freely: One of our favorite practices adopted from The Artist’s Way is the morning pages — a journaling practice that lets your stream-of-conscious flow and release.

  • Yin yoga: Yin requires you to slow down and release. The long holds help you tune inward and may allow emotions to surface.

To truly benefit from this month’s practice, write down a few findings per session. What did you feel physically, emotionally, spiritually? Did you uncover anything interesting? At the end of the month, reflect on what you’ve learned about yourself, your body and your mind.
